Customizing a remote control to best fit you application requirements is as simple as adding an overlay, with your custom button labels, graphics, logo or other artwork. Overlays are available for any remote control purchase quantity. Custom labels and graphics on the buttons are generally done on higher volume orders (500 to 1000+ pieces depending on the model). Case silk screening can be performed on any volume order.

Overlays
Many models of remote controls we offer are designed to accept overlays. Overlays are thick, mylar labels that fit onto the face of the remote control. Overlays can be designed in custom colors, and can include labels for buttons, logos and other artwork. Overlays are also used to mask-off unwanted buttons/keys. We can reduce the key count on a remote by removing the rubber button (either cutting them off in post manufactured units, or not including them in production), and then placing an overlay over the face of the remote that will cover the holes in the top housing case. Not all remotes are designed to accept overlays. Generally, remotes that accept overlays have an area surrounding the keys that is slightly recessed so that the overlay can fit on the remote, and not protrude above the face of the remote. Some remotes have a combination of button areas, of which a specific group of buttons accept overlays. Overlays are manufactured with a clear mylar coat on the top so artwork does not rub off with use.  More Samples of Remote Control Overlays
Silk Screening Case
Silk screening graphics or logos on the case of the remote is available for many of the remote controls we offer. This can be done for low or high volume orders.
Silk Screening Buttons/Keys
Silk screening artwork and graphics directly onto the buttons and keys is available, but only on higher volume orders. The special ink used for this process must be applied at the factory when the rubber/silicone keypad is produced. Artwork on the keys can be any color. Multiple colors can be used on different buttons.
